The Green Car Journal has awarded our Jetta TDI the 2009 Green Car of the Year! The editors at Green Car Journal nominated five vehicles that represented the year’s best-of-the-best 2009 green vehicles, and they have chosen Volkswagen’s Jetta TDI clean diesel as the best-of-the-best and awarded it their 2009 Green Car of the Year.
Announced at the LA Auto Show
The Green Car of the Year award was awarded in front of a huge crowd of journalists at the LA Auto Show in Los Angeles, California.
We Beat Out a Pretty Amazing Crowd!
The other four vehicles that the Green Car Journal considered were the BMW 335d, the Ford Fusion hybrid, the Saturn Vue two-mode hybrid and the Smart Fortwo subcompact. That’s quite a green field to compete against and win!
